I just saw Jason and the Argonauts, for the first time since I was a child. The skeleton battle is impressive and so well done in his time.

But how can the stop-motion charactures get that work seamlessly with live-action mix? I assume that most of his work was finished before the blue screen. What kind of techniques used to ..?
